Tribal Gaming Commission

 

The Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission provides oversight of all gaming activities. It is the primary responsibility of the Gaming Commission to oversee, regulate, and enforce all applicable Federal, State and Tribal laws, and regulations governing Class II and Class III gaming on Indian Lands. The Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission assures that gaming activities are conducted fairly and honestly by both gaming operators and players, safeguarding all tribal assets from corrupting influences, and always ensures compliance.

To properly regulate gaming for the Pueblo of Tesuque, the Tesuque Tribal Gaming Commission (POTGC) in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal gaming regulations, the Commission is comprised of the following:

Chairman- Rodrick Kennedy

Vice-Chair- Vacant

Secretary- Vacant

The Gaming Commissioners are appointed by Tribal Council and are responsible for the enforcement of all Federal, State and Tribal Regulations.

Executive Director, Brenda C Baca - is responsible for oversight and supervision of all department actions and activities involving regulation of gaming.

Compliance Inspectors, Angelica Gutierrez – Perform on-going evaluations of game rules for proper accountability and the safeguarding of assets.  Monitor the gaming enterprise for all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal Regulations

Licensing, Angela Baca- The Licensing department evaluates potential employees and vendors to the standards set forth by Federal, State and Tribal Regulations.

Internal Auditor, Nona Tafoya – The Internal Auditor monitors and audits the gaming operation to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal Regulations.

Surveillance – The Surveillance department monitors through an extensive surveillance system to assure all gaming activities and events within the casino are in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal Regulations.

These Commission activities are just a snapshot of all the areas the Commission is responsible for.  There are several sub-activities that each department undertakes in order to monitor the gaming activities and needs of the gaming operation.
